In order to complete my education, I joined Gamabilis for a 6-month graduation internship, which was followed by a contract during the first weeks of 2019. This start-up focuses on "Games for Change", a type of serious games that pushes players to question their habits and the way they live, to initiate global changes toward a better future. However, since the company is still young and have to make a living, it also develops more traditional serious games following a business-to-business model.

CHRONORIFT (School project | Sept. 2014 - May 2015)
Board Game | 1 VS 3 players
Role: Game Designer
Chronorift is an asymmetric board game about time travel. One player embodies Tim Ravel, an old scientist who created a time machine and who is chased by Time's avatars, controlled by 3 other players. Those three players have to capture the other one before it manages to visit some specific areas. Both teams can restrict each other's movements by pining "traps" into the board, and they also have to manage the hands of the clock that works as gates.
This was our first project at Supinfogame. We were by teams of 4 (2 Game Artists and 2 Game Designers) and we spent most of our first year working on it. For us Game Designers, it was an opportunity to apply all we had learned from this year's lessons, and we managed to significantly enhanced the game by carrying out regular playtests.
My role was focused on conceiving the main mechanics, then playtesting and tweaking them. I also wrote most of the game rules and documentation. Chronorift allowed me to develop my basic skills as a Game Designer.
