In order to complete my education, I joined Gamabilis for a 6-month graduation internship, which was followed by a contract during the first weeks of 2019. This start-up focuses on "Games for Change", a type of serious games that pushes players to question their habits and the way they live, to initiate global changes toward a better future. However, since the company is still young and have to make a living, it also develops more traditional serious games following a business-to-business model.

Who am I?
My avatar when developing the game Oneiros
Hello! Welcome to the website of a Game Designer who is both a dreamer and a hard worker. I am into creating clever games that could allow players to experience strong emotions. To do so, I rely on my good analytical skills without having them clashing with my artistic sensitivity. I put a lot into work, having my strong will and my demanding personality pushing me to always do my best for everything I take part in.
After graduating from Supinfogame RUBIKA (Game Design & Management Master), I am now Game & Level Designer at Sloclap. I have already taken part in many projects (check my portfolio for more details), be them school/work-related or personal. Most of the time, my job was focused on game design, on level design, and even sometimes on production management. I have worked with teams of different sizes, from solo projects to 60+ people-large ones, and in various conditions (including teammates with no common language and noticeable time difference).
The experience I earned through these numerous projects allows me to be confident in my skills, especially those regarding system design. I am also very interested in level and AI design. I consider myself as a versatile designer.
I am currently looking for a Junior position starting January 2019. I have a valid working visa for Canada.
Philosophy & Goals
Even if I try to be as open-minded as possible, there are a couple ideals that I would like to stay true to when developing games:
-
Create games I would like to play to, with no genre restriction.
-
Games can bring something to players, such as emotions, exits or lessons.
-
My work is a way to express myself.
-
It is okay making mistakes, as long as I learn from them, if I avoid reproducing them, and if they do not doom somebody else. This is the reason why you may find works that were not fully successful in my portfolio: there are things to learn from every project, even more when it failed.
-
Always do my best and never give up, as I believe this is the best way to turn even a project I do not like into something awesome and meaningful.
Here are a couple things I would like to achieve in the game industry. They might seem a bit ambitious considering my current position, but as someone who is driven by challenge I believe I will eventually reach these goals at some point, or even several times during my career:
-
Bring unique and fresh ideas to video games.
-
Create interesting game systems within strong universes.
-
Work on as many different game genres as I can.
-
Create a game that can tell an explicit story and convey feelings with its mechanics only.
I am also interested in how games mechanics can help us learning and teaching.
